First of all, mind and health are interdependent. Our attitude towards life, whether it is positive or negative,
determines in large measure the state of our health.
Proper hygiene is another necessary component of health. By hygiene I mean all of our daily living
habits.
Physical work, too, is indispensable if one wants vibrant health. Life cannot be lived on the cerebral
level alone. Life is lived in the body and if you disconnect yourself from the physical body, health is not possible.

Absence of ease-ness.

Due to accumulation of toxins and morbid matters.
How these toxins are accumulated?
Due to unhealthy lifestyle: wrong food, lack of rest, stress, air, water, psychic pollutions, etc.

Food can be divided into three categories - positive, neutral and negative - depending upon their ability to cleanse
the body. The accumulation of foreign matter is the cause of diseases and removing that accumulation leads to good
health.
Positive foods cleanse the body as they share three characteristics:
1. They are rich in vitamins and mineral
2. They are easily digestible
3. They are high in roughage or fiber.
Ideally, the blood should be alkaline. One should maintain the ratio of 75% Alkalinity and 25%
Acidity in blood. Its is the alkalinity which gives us resistance to desire and the strength to deal with external
changes, like climate or environment. It also gives us stamina. If the alkaline ratio goes down, then the immune
system goes down and body becomes prone to diseases.
Nutritive foods nourish the body. Proteins and carbohydrates are the nutrients. They are the building materials
of the body.
Negative foods are those which contain few vitamins or minerals, have little roughage, and are difficult to digest.
They contribute to the accumulation of wastes and toxins within the body and thus lead to illness and disease.
The accompanying chart listing the positive, neutral and negative foods is extensive but not exhaustive. It is
meant as a helper, not as a final authority. Foods need to be added or dropped depending on local growing conditions
and availability. If something is missing, add it! Your own situation and experience is the best guide to the proper
food for your health.
